Youtube video power output bullshit?

This guy in Greece claims that he has ~840hp on his 2rotor running 29psi with a GT45 or 47. He states that he's using a PowerFC and running 1680 primaries and 1680 secondaries. His best quarter mile was about 11.2-3, who thinks the flag should go up with this one?

there's no good way to tell how much power he's making from the video. If it's strapped down properly it's not going to go all over the place.

we don't know what fuel he's using. we don't know if he is using methanol injection.

we don't know what fuel pressure he is using.

we don't know his 1/4 mile trap speed, but 11.2 wouldn't be surprising if he put down that power--we all know the joke about single turbo Supras and 1/4 mile ET.

we don't know what dyno he is using, what the ambient conditions are, and what correction factor may have been applied to the number.

I'd just call it inconclusive.

^^^^ lol
I have seen dyno's that had very high readings, because the tuner would
tune the dyno and not the bike.

There's quite a few high 600 and high 700hp rx7s on YouTube. Just search 700hp rx7. There not far off from this one.

Best time was 11.2 with 218km (135 miles) speed trap...60ft was 2.4..had many issues with traction...and that was not with full boost...

Wink

Thanks very much for just mentioning my car.
Please keep in mind that English is not my first language for sure there is a language barrier.

Its a large street ported rotary... with a aftermarket intake manifold on it.

I enjoy it very much.

Those are some videos in Greece on Serres race track (cirquit) in the mx5 miata track day.
On that day 90liters of pump gas.....
Boosted 20-21psi...(for every day...)
9200rpm rev limiter (for every day...)
On that boost 530whp...
about 4 years with the same motor...

In one or two fly buys i have reached 250km.
I come with 2nd gear from the last corner of the track to the straight.
About 400meters till the "let go and brake" point, for the first corner of the track.

I never have used full power of my motor, i have traction issues, because of poor track condition here in Greece or broken lsd...in full interior i pulled 218km trap speed but with my old inlet manifold (oem re manifold) and only 1,7bar (about 25psi) the last two years i am running 4throttle and i boosted more to 2,15bar with racing gas( about 31psi)only on the dyno.
My turbo is veeery big for a two rotor motor (about 140lbs/min) but i managed to see 25psi on 5200rpm with rev limiter always more than 9200rpm.

Thanks again guys for mentioning my car every way that you did i am proud of it.
Best Regards.

Went to RotaryFest in NJ Saturday. All 2-rotors and one NSU 1-rotor. One or two of them broke into the 7 seconds. I don't know what that equals in HP, but who the hell cares. 2-rotors is all you need to be fast. Anything more just puts a larger smile on my face. It seemed like almost all that raced were 12 seconds and under.
