XS Engineering T04E or T04S

Can someone tell me what the differences are between these 2 turbo kits?

Ill be running a single set up soon and want to get 1 of these 2 kits.
I want to learn more about them first.

Is there anyone running these? Tell me what you think.

Mods so far:
PFC, 1300 sec, fuel pump, Greddy FMIC, pullies....

The only difference in the kits is the turbo. Otherwise all the other parts are the same.

i heard the T04E uses cast hks manifold while the T04S uses a custom XS tubular manifold. if you are gonna street drive alot get the T04E. if you plan on drag racing go for the T04S. i originally was going to get a T04S but XS never got the product to me so i now have greddy T78 and 3row fmic

How will the 2 row Greddy hook up to the turbo?

Can I call greddy for the pipe?

The 2 row you have will work fine because the XS kit comes with an intercooler pipe that hooks up in the stock location.

I would recommend going with a boost controller. You can use any. I use a profec B.

can you run more than 17.5 PSI with a PFC if you have a separate boost controller, like a Profec-B or AVC-R, without the boost control kit for the PFC??

(i searched for the answer to that question, but i could not find a definate answer)

XS said they caan use PowerExel to remap the PFC maps for > 17.5 psi when you are running a 3 bar MAP with a boost controller.

No, but it's a nice option. You can use a GM 3 bar MAP sensor and any decent aftermarket boost controller like a Profec A,B , Blitz etc.

I see the T04S kit comes with a HKS Racing Wastegate.....

Whats the difference between the HKS T04E wastegate and the HKS T04S Racing Wastegate?

Both get dumped into the atmosphere? Like open exhaust?

The manifold, not the wastegate, determines where the extra exaust goes.

Here is one that just vents to atnosphere:
(not my pic, someone on forum don't remember who...)

If it was to be routed back into exaust, the open pipe there would have a flex tube on it welded back into the downpipe.
