Winter and Summer tuning?
Question:
I had my car dyno tuned a few months ago when temps were in the 90's. The other night I had my car out and here in the north east it's already starting to get in the low 40 high 30deg F range at night, now don't get me wrong, the car was running like one bad *** bitch but the rich/lean meter wouldn't peg anymore.
Do you guys run a winter map or re-tune in colder months???? Note: my duty cycle was touching 88%...guess I need more fuel.
-thanks

There is thread about this on the big list. Most ECU have correction factors for many things including temperature. What you using, a PFC? Who did your tune?
I run a map that I have tuned at a (any) temperature, then I modify the correction factors for Intake Air Temperature (IAT). Even the stock ECU scales this (more fuel in the cold).
Be very careful until you figure out exactly how lean you are and what factor you need to adjust to get back to safer ground.

Thanks!...But I guess with correction factors now in effect due to colder temps my fuel system is getting maxed.
I was just wondering was there anyway to know this at back at tuning. Bigger injectors are now on order and she's going to KDR in two weeks.

I tune. I learned about correction factors by trying to master how to tune. If you have encountered someone who didn't bother to learn about correction factors, look for a better tuner? Send me a PM, and I'll give you my personal opinion on any maps I may haver reviewed from your tuner.
