Will a mechanical fuel pump work for a street EFI application?
Will a mechanical fuel pump work for a street EFI application?
It is a very important question that i ask, because i have just come across a deal with a mechanical fuel pump included, which would be running it in a street EFI engine.
is there anyone here who actually has experience with street driven mechanical fuel pumps? I know it can be done, because on extremerotarys.com there is a kit for a mechanical fuel pump and it is on a EFI engine. but i dont know if it is possible to drive one on the streets, due to low RPM pressure and such things.
I have 5 days to know or i loose the deal
thank you in advance

the reason why i ask is because it looks like i might buy this particular dry sump, and it has one attached to it:
it is a 3 stage pump, then the fuel pump, and on the back is a power steering pump.

whoops my mistake
i am about to begin my build of a peripheral port 13b with a 75mm turbo, and am looking for a dry sump for the engine. This dry sump just happened to have it bolted on, so it was convenient.
