Why can't I control my boost???

Recently I fixed a leak in my intercooler piping and it makes my car run a ton faster, but for some reason it keeps over boosting. I have the AVC-R set at .95 kg/cm2 boost right now with 65% solenoid duty. In third gear it keeps pulling up to 1.15-1.20 and I can't figure out why it would be doing that. I highly doubt my wastegate is to small (HKS 50mm dumping to atmosphere). So anybody got any idea how to fix this?

Thanks

To see if it's your WG or your boost controller you can do a simple test. unhook the boost controller and run a line from the outlet of your compressor to the side of your WG. Leave the top port open on the WG. Go take it for a drive and if it still creeps then it's in the plumbing to/from the WG. If the problem goes away then it's the settings on your AVC-R.

you may need to fool with the duty cycle a bit. when you make a change. . . especially one that is gonna result in more power you have to play with the duty cycle again to get it right. . . sometimes.

Thanks rotorbrain, I turn the duty way down to 50% and was boosting right around .90 and tuned it to 53% where it is hitting between .95 and 1.00 pretty consistantly, sometimes lower but never over.

I have the same issue right now but I am overboosting even when I am only on the gate. Actually, creeping is a better term. Its a 10lb spring but is walking up to 12. I am not really sure why. I found a ruptured intercooler coupler and replaced it. I to have a ton more power expecially down low. I have also noticed that my wideband says my engine is running lean above 6k. It didn't do this with a rip in the coupler. Rip was about 1 inch long. Hopefully I will figure out why my gate isn't dumping.
