Who drives their single turbo RX everyday?

Im switching to a T-88/haltech or Power FC soon, and im wondering, will the car still be able to take trips, drive down the street and so on, like with the twins? I dont care about lag, its just the relability. Im not going to run over 15psi probably on the street, and probably most times at 10psi, wont really matter though, since i wont get boost at normal driving RPM. Im just asking, should the car be unreliable? does anyone take their single turbo cars on hour long trips or longer? As long as I dont run the crap out of it, should everything be OK even with a turbo change? Hardly anyone touches on this subject, so im wondering. Give me your experiances, and tell truthfully.

I drove from Dallas, Tx to Atlanta, Ga several times (11+hrs non-stop) so you shouldn't have to worry about reliablity issue. as a matter of fact, you actually gain reliability simply because you're not producing as much boost at lower rpm when compare to stock twins.

if you plan on boosting only 10-15lbs most of the time, than the T-88 is not het turbo to get....
The APEXi RX-6 will fit you better

50,000 km's in a year and a half on the 67 mile long x 5 mile wide island of okinawa japan in some of the most fucked up traffic and unrelenting heat and humidity you can imagine during the day and openroads beating the **** out of my car boosting 15-17 psi at knight with a 60-1 (To4S) single pushing over 400+ hp and with a OS Geiken 990kg twin plate clutch with out any problems at all other than the small oil leak that's been there since I built the engine and put it in.. God I love my car..

TO4R/500+hp comming sooner than you think..

thats weird, couldn't you get a different spring in the wastegate? I have the HKS 50mm racegate myself, which is I think 10mm short of yours.

Don't l;et that scare you away , just be careful . I will be driving mine mad non stop when I get mine put back together again

Trust me , be careful and don't kill yourself . I know from experience
