Where to buy turbo components

Hi, I'm looking into building (rebuilding) a hybrid s4 turbo and I'm trying to source parts. My turbo is starting to make some scary noises so I figured this would be a good time to do this.

Where are some good places to buy individual turbo parts (ie compressor wheels, housings/backplates, turbine wheel/shaft) I've searched around for a while now and all the websites I've found sell only rebuild kits or complete turbos and eBay is pretty slim pickings too. I'm not really interested in used parts, especially bearings and seals.

It was suggested to me that I should simply buy a complete turbo and just rob the parts I needed off it. The problem is new brand name turbos are $5-600 on the low side (I've seen chinese ones as low as $150) and that kinda defeats the purpose of hybriding it for me. It has to be cheaper than buying a new turbo.

I'd really like to hybird my turbo as I could use a project right now and I don't really have the coin for a brand new turbo setup. I don't know, is what I'm asking unreasonable? Surely its possible to build a hybrid HT-18 for less than a new turbo. Any input is appreaciated. Thanks.

you'll probably have to call one of the Garrett distributors listed on their website
