VA Single turbo options

Im getting ready to start pissing money out the *** for a rebuild, before my motor blew I had a good setup with the twins, and was cranking out a respectible 340 hp. Im looking for a good turbo unit that will give me around 400 hp on 15 lbs or less of boost but I have no clue where to start from. I did some searches and a popular choice seems to be a gt35R kit. Im sure yall get these kinds of questions all the time, but when looking for a single turbo, what are the main focus's? What should I be looking for to get the most out of a setup? My intentions are just for a street car/weekend warrior at a track once its complete.

Im pretty set on what all I need for the conversion, and Im pretty sure I have everything down with exception of a turbo selection. I would love to find a best bang for the buck turbo but on the flipside I know this isnt the area of the rx to go cheap on.

Gt35R is a great street turbo, potential for well over 500+rwhp @ 20+psi too.

the 35r is def a nice turbo. its definitely in the category youre looking for... but id still recommend a borg warner turbo... personally i have the s366 and love it.. and i definitely thing borg warner turbos are the best bang for your buck.

im no turbo guru but quick references that i picked up when shopping for a turbo is the bigger the A/R the more lag lose low end but make high hp. Smaller A/R faster spool time not as high hp#

with that said i opted for the .91 A/R and on my hbp i loved it... on stock port motor its okay...
