Question What "street tune" RWHP for members 13B's ?....post set up and figures

Hey Guys

I thought this would be a good survey for us, to see what we are all making in full street trim.

*Pump Gas
*Full Exhaust (read: street legal or close too)
*Air filter
*No NOS

Basically what you guys run, in daily driver trim. Wether you run it on a Dyno Jet, Dyno Dynamics, etc post your RWHP(I got a conversion thread in the single forum so you can get a rough estimate of your "engine bhp" power) and specifics of your set up, should be interesting to see what some daily drivers pump out in street trim. Include a "summary" of your engine set up.

Here are my stats.

98 octane (RON) unleaded, water injection, 472rwhp (dynapack) (566bhp) @ 7600rpm & 20psi boost.

Engine:
13B T2 9.0:1 comp
2mm apex (std)
race clearanced and blueprinted internals
Street Port
TO4
FMIC
"ported" Intake manifold & Throttle body
RICE exhaust manifold, 3" exhaust
Autronic ECU
Crane CDI x 2

Interested to see what the numbers will be in our little family

So 433 dyno dynamics = 433 x 1.3 = 562.9bhp

Which dynojet did you use, I did not think you had been on one Steve?

Anyway thats 563bhp (engine power) V'nice , Oh what boost ?

OK so what is the acceptable boost level assuming front mount on 93 octane pump gas?

w/FMIC and non 100 degree days (25 - 40C intake temps) I've run 16 - 16.5psi on 94 octane pump w/out problems on my GT35/40 & stock motor. I'm tuned safe 11.2:1) Could probably push 17psi reliably. I think 18 would be appoaching the danger zone IMO.

s4 FC rotors
3mm apex seals ( wont do that again)
hayes biult motor ( wont do that one agian ether)
street ported
60-1 .70 comp 1.15 turbine
14 psi
91 octiane premium
407 rwhp dyno jet

and the motor is in pieces now do to my friend changing the timeing without telling me and running alittle to lean. but I am glad we had to pull it apart. I found out Don hayes didn't even port the exhaust side. If you want something done right do it your self.

what limits you to 17psi... if and when i ever went single assuming i had an FD, i was very interested in the gt3540... but i would also get a streetported engine. if you had a streetport, would it be safer to run higher boost (read: 20psi-23psi) safely? or is it the 94 octance gas? around here, in DE its good temps (50-75degrees) for about 70% of the year, so is it just too hot where you are? (didnt look)... i was just wondering what is limiting you on your boost.

Thanks Nocab, that's about what I was thinking.

Once I get my shht straight (next month?) I'm planning to run 14PSI low/street boost with 16PSI high boost on 93 or 94 octane.

Greddy 2-row FM, GT3540, homebrew street port (not small, not big), Hurley 2mm seals, 850 primary inj, 1300 sec inj.

I'm sick of my car sitting in the garage with no engine!

1) I was answering his question on the highest safe boost to be run on 93 Octane. IMO that is 17ish.

2) I'll run beyond 17psi soon, but haven't installed a 3bar map sensor, and waiting to swap out my stock engine for a new pineapple racing ported w/2pc, 2mm racing seals. I'll also be using > 94 octane pump gas when I do that though as well.

nocab72 have you ran your car at the track yet? I am curious to know what kind of times you will get with the GT35/40. Scott

My first time to the track will be Saturday (a local imports day at the track), unless it gets rained out. 50/50 chance.

Since it will be first time at the track in ANYTHING, I don't expect insainly low ET's.

what tires are you running? get some ET streets. they help a ton. My first time was bad as well. 13.3 was my best pass. my 60' sucked. 2.1 was my best with a bunch of 2.3-2.4 on Nitto Drag radials. It was pretty shitty.

I've got 2 extra stock wheels, I'm trying to get a hold of a set of ET streets this week to run on.
