What size fuel pump

I will be running a GT40 single turbo, but am uncertain what size fuel pump/injectors to run in order to run around 450-500hp reliably

the denso "supra" pump should be enought for that. im making 423 on a single walbro with duties in the mid 80 range. However if your shooting for 500 i would go with the bosch 044.

Yeah. The supra pump is more than enough. I making 429whp with it. You should buy a supra pump, do a rewired job to the pump, and get 550/1600cc injectors. This setup will get you into the 500whp. Easy.

Remember to add a fuel pressure regulator. If you want to simplified your life, just buy the rx7store extreme fuel kit. It comes with everything except the pump for 500whp

what kind of porting do you have? which kind of fuel are you planning on using? I wouldnt really consider 500Hp reliable but that is just my personal opinion. I have 720/1600cc injectors an aeromotive a1000 fuel pump and fuel regulator. Im running 25PSI and still tuning trying to get to 30 PSI. So far so good. If your trying to reach a high HP goal like that dont go with a cheap small pump like a walbro 255 or a smal bosh or anything like that or a supra pump. not that it doesnt work but i wouldnt trust my engine to it for trying to save a couple of bucks. go with aeromotive or a weldon. hope that helps

i wouldn't consider a supra pump cheap. 200 dollars a pop.I have seen 500whp with this pump. If you want to go overkill, you could do a dual pump system. You could even use a supra pump and the rx7 oem pump. I wouldn't recommend walbros specially bought on ebay, since they could be fake and tend to burn out.

550cc primaries are the easiest to tune.

Not that Im disagreeing with you Im just saying I wouldnt personally do it to my car or to someone elses car that I build. Im sure the supra pump works fine just not my choice. plus yes when you are building an engine shooting for 500+ HP $200 is really petty cash. You pretty much have all kinds of money invested into your engine to risk it by saving 1 or 2 hundred dollars on a fuel pump trust me I cant tell you by a fact and personal experience Ive only been involved in this for the last 15 years!!

I'm running one of these. http://www.titanmotorsports.com/600seinfupu.html (weldon 600a). It's a nice pump! I still have yet to actually tune my car with it but I know I won't have a problem supporting 500hp.

This topic has been discussed 23.6 million times on this forum. If you would have searched for it you would have found it.

Imho the only pump I would use for your application (and most others) is the bosch 044 pump. You do NOT want to use the A100 like someone mentioned before. The are not what you want in a street car besides the fact that the do not have long term reliability. Walbros are junk period. And the supra pumps are ok but I don't see why you would want one of those over the 044 for the same price.

Bosch 044. I'm biased towards ID injectors...
