5500-6000 rpm on ET streets got me 1.7-1.8s 60's. But if you don't have the money for a dyno tune, I certainly wouldn't be launching (let alone driving) a T-78 car.

4000- 4100 is the best to launch on regular street tires. Anything lower then that may bog. You have to feather the gas to have any sort of traction though. If you have drag radials i would launch at about 4500 rpm (like me). If you have ET streets im sure you can launch much higher like Marshall suggests. Trust me you dont really have to worry about being in your powerband in first gear, because you wont have any traction anyways if you floor it.

what other suggestions do you want? i basically told you how to do it, being that i have experiance with launching with this turbo on regular street tires and drag radials. OK, i got one. Make sure the steering wheel is straight, lol. prepare to do a little countersteering because the rear end will shift to the side.

Personally i wouldnt do any Launching or boosting without getting your car tuned and upgrading the fuel system.

Thanks from me too...I'm running about 500rwhp and haven't gotten mine tuned or dynoed (and I DEFINITELY DO NOT BOOST more than 1 or 2 psi-even the one or two psi on very very rare occations). I am getting it tuned at the Revolution and dynoed, so it's definitely nice to know after tuning what I should be launching at. Also, what kind of drag/radials are you running (I'm running 555r's)???
Thanks,

Craig

I’ve seen his car (hell I’m working on it right now). He has a pretty aggressive setup. 500rwhp is a little on the high side but none the less he will be very close to it with an aggressive tune and high boost levels.

P.S. Craig, next time don't put hp "estimates" in your posts.

I thought he was saying 500rwhp on 1 or 2psi. I sincerely hope you make it to 500. I know that 400+ is a handfull. Can't imagine 500rwhp at this point. CJ

I run et streets. Ive launched several diff. ways. From 5-abt 7500 i like 7500 its just fun. Or give the car a rev and hold it at like 3500-4000 steady and when the lights come down just go to the floor with it. By the time the lights come down its at about 7500 and builds like 6psi to launch with. You need to time it yourself Its easier said then done.
