I just did a little bit more research on this since my rwhp goal is 400hp at 15psi and I'm currently running 550/1300's. According to http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/...tem/calcs.html, using BSFC of .62 and stock fuel press, my current setup should be good for 394rwhp at 85% duty cycle, 462rwhp at 100%.

And according to this other site: http://www.wvinter.net/~flanham/wlan...el/850pri.html, 550/1300's are good for 405rwhp at 85% duty cycle, 475 at 100%.

In any case, ASA I get my boost control add-on kit for my PFC, XS Eng will dyno my car and I'll let you guys know the outcome. If it turns out I need more fuel, I'm thinking of going the "850cc primaries" route. What do you guys think about that? You avoid messing with the fuel rail, changing the electrical connectors, putting in the resistors, etc, etc. And I would think it's a smoother-running setup with 850/1300 as opposed to 550/1600.

I'm generally in the same boat..turbo hunting and reading so I can learn.

This a pretty helpful thread...nice to see now and then. Keep going I'm learning!

what would you expect power out would be with a t04s with a smaller .84 divided hotside, and a .70 compressor side with a 60-1 wheel? at about 15 psi? not looking for a specific hp number, just want something good for the street, plus the .84 hotside is the biggest what will fit on the obx manifold i'm using.

If you are going to do the fuel system with FPR then you are going to remove your pulsation dampner. The problem I found with using the stock rails with after market fuel system (whether stainless or regular) was tapping the rails to connect the new lines. The clearance between the primary and the oil metering injectors is very tight. It can be done but it is not fun - beside tapping the rails which is lots of fun by itself. So I went with Keith's rails which convert both to top feed. These rails are pre-tapped for 3/8 NPT and since they are top feed there is plenty of room to manuver the fuel system. The cost of going this route is a bit more expensive but not alot.

Sending off injectors to RC to be cleaned, bored, and flow tested - about $400.

Purchasing Keith's rails, top feed 720/1600's. about $550.

For 150 more you get plenty of fuel capabilities, better flowing rails, easy connections and fuel system architecture. I have this setup in my car and it runs smooth despite no tuning yet from my 550/1300 setup. I suspect that I am running really rich and went on a trip yesterday and got 19mpg highway (which is the same as before).

Hope this info helps you work out your solution.

Shawn

First of all get a pump that will drop in like the Nippon Supra TT pump. It will drop right in, Its quiet and will make over 470 RWHP before it starts to run out of steam. It also available anywhere. The secondary inj should be upgraded in my opinion. 85% duty is maxing out the injectors. Go with 1600cc secondaries. Anything higher duty than 85% and they will overheat and leak/cause engine fire etc. of course many get away with hitting higher duty for very short periods of time. At least for a while. The Fuel Dampener should be replaced when your in there. I didnt delete it as it has its use and keeps fuel pressure surges down. The Rising rate fuel pressure regulator will raise pressure as boost goes up. I am using the SX unit and its fine. Running 400RWHP is a good goal and you should be able to attain it just dont let a maxed out fuel system keep you from your goal.

FYI:

If you let RC engineering know you are in a car club and can get them proof via a website or otherwise, they will give you a 10% discount. Not much but everything helps.
