what motor, what single turbo, what ECU

bought blown motor 93 tt manual rx7. shops in STL are saying go Streetport 3mm seals built from Rotary performance. New Fuel pumps and everything related to fuel pumps, and APex FC w commander, or Halteck ekx, and for the single turbo going HKS t51r kai. i told them that i wanted BIG power, like 600ish.

they say this set up will give me like 400 on pump gas and like 500 on race gas.
I don't know what to do. No one is suggesting a race port. whats so wrong with race port. i know it might now be streetable then but i thought it was stronger.

my question to anyone outthere is what motor should i get?
what single turbo should i get for the power i want?
what ECU should i get?

and i need it to be somewhat streetable.

and does anyone have any setups that they have been running for a while without any problems. please list specs mods and reliability. thank u.

I would say go large street port, run similar to Ernie's setup, except run the smaller turbo 94mm.
As for motor, find a reputable local builder who can also do the tune. I wouldn't run the PFC but some do. I like microtech, autronic or even AEM. If 90% of your driving is on the street and almost daily. This will be a little on the not tolerable in traffic side and you may want to consider something smaller. If you only take this out on the weekends and hit the track but want to drive it there and have fun. This would work well.

What shops in STL are oyu talking about? There is only one place in the St. Louis area with any significant rx7 experience. Call Ron@ D&R 618-222-1201.

One main reason is most of the harnesses on these cars are 13yrs old. I can't tell you how many I've cut into and seen green copper wiring, or worse.(And few want to pay the price for a new factory harness.) They almost never fully get rid of the hunting idle. Some do, most don't. It always seems to pop it's head up every now and then. I find it annoying. Most cars I run are on the microtechs, they are affordable easy to use, small in size. The other two are nice units but are a little more involved and I wouldn't recommend them to someone who has no experience.

Another FD owner with big pockets. Money = Speed eh?

My advice would be to search the forum. Look at peoples setups, dyno sheets, times etc... Figure out what your goals are (hopefully more than just an HP number) and figure it all out.
