this is what im thinking for my turbo setup, give me some input...

I just got my 91 JDM TII engine into my 82 on sunday. Its a bone stock engine, I removed all the emissions, and did the TB mods. Im using a 87 volvo intercooler.

I was planning on getting a BNR stage 4 but Ive been looking around and I think i could go with a full to4 upgrade for around the same price.

first, the manifold. I want to go with the HKS cast manifold. Manifold
Is this manifold divided???
It says standard wastegate, I assume this means a wastegate that is seperate from the turbo. Which brings me to the next point.

The wastegate; my choice on the wastegate is kind of limited by price, im definatly going to get a used one on ebay. What should I look for in size or design??

and lastly the turbo,

I was thinking something like this:T04b

Brian,
Go with the full upgrade if its going to cost around the same price. Than manifold looks divided to me, but the angle is funny. You need a Vband downpipe for that, its clamps onto the lip on the hotside of the turbo...

When they say "standard" they mean it uses their standard 40mm wastegate.

you mean a standard HKS wastegate?

Okay, so thats what I have to find.

Its interesting that the manifold for turbos with internal wastegates is more expensive...

they probably dont sell many of them.

The turbo link you posted sounds like a perfect turbo for your 13bt. Thats the turbo I was going to buy before I got my TD07 except in a .7 compressor housing.
If you look close at the second pic (shows side view of turbine housing) you can tell it doesn't have the V-band welded on yet. You can get whole V-band assy's from turbonetics or I'm pretty sure some have got them from the ford dealer also.

Oh yeah, I think mike-p-28 might be selling his T2 turbo BNR stage 4 soon. It will have a fresh rebuild. I'm guessing it will come with turbo, manifold, maybe lines, and maybe DP.
PM him if you're intrested.

yeh, I have spoken with him, he was going to sell it to me but I think hes waiting till next summer.
And I beleive the full t04 upgrade will be more reliable and faster.

Does the v band require any special welding or can any muffler shop do it for me??

The flange has to be welded on to the turbine housing.

FYI,

The HKS Cast manifold is EXTREMELY Close to the steering idler arm bushing on an FB.

You will be wearing it out constantly with it.

okay, I can see its close. If the mani doesnt inhibit the movement of the idler arm I dont care. Ill put some heat sheilding on it. I was planing on getting a turbo wrap also.

In those pics, it doesnt look like the manifold is up agains the engine.

will it fit is the only question.

oh, and is it divided or not???
