What do you think about this t04 AIresearch

Hey guys, I just picked up a turbo and wanted to get your opinion on it befor installing it.

It is an AIresearch fatory rebuild with 0 miles on it. and here are the specs.

factory rebuilt TO4, it is oil cooled, 1.75 AR hot side, P Trim, V Band - super 60 cold side.

Ive been told that the hot side is going to be alittle big, for a street car. My car is not a daily drive but I do injoy driving it on the street and the track. And I would like to have some sort of power from 2-3000 rpm, but Im told this turbos not going to make efficient boost until 4000rpm. Im just wanting to know how you guys think this will perform.

here is a link to some pics.

And ofcourse you will have to know my other mods. So here they are

MICROTECH
FRONTMOUNT
1600cc secondarys
Boost controler
FD fuel pump (but I am shopping for an upgrade.)
And some other nic nacs.

I have been working with air research and garret turbs for over 20 yrs. never seen a 1.75 A/R turbine housing . my 13bt has a 1.15 and I dont like the lag, I set up one last week with a .96 , yes I like the way it drives on the street, we are talking all TO4 series with P wheels, clipped, unclipped ,reverse clip,I prefer the 10 blade unclipped in a .96, yes all out race is different game. looked at pics ,it is an old diesel turbo probebly off an International DT 466, good for parts but not for hi-performance its not oil cooled, its not V-band, and its not super 60, and it looks like a 1.15 housing which are stamped in , maybe looks like 1.75. RON
