what do think about running just this pump?

I have asked before about fuel delivery and fuel lines. What do you think about running JUST this fuel pump?

I am curious if it would supply enough fuel for a large street port and a T88(everything else to match). I will be running -8am lines to the front and back.

Thanks in advance!!

A few people here already use the A1000. Aeromotive sells filter to go with it, so it may be a little handier to complete your system. It looks like the Tsunami only has a -6 outlet. I assume they know what they're doing, but most people here us at least -8 line to the front if they only have 1 line. If they're the same price, it would be good to get more feedback on the A1000 and go with the proven pump. Pretty tough to find a place to mount that pump though.

I would like to know if anyone has bought this doo-whacky from Aeromotive. Fuel Pump Controller It looks like a high tech replacement for the resistor setup in an FD. Also replaces any fuel pump relays.

I'll let others comment on the capacity ability of those pumps, I'm quite certain the A1000 will supply plenty of fuel for your application.

I do however want to warn that the Aeromotive pumps are known to be VERY noisy!

K
fuel pump whine is a pet peeve of mine, so I am probably more sensative than some...

I am not worried about the noise, I have Walbro pumps in our Miatas and they are noisey too.

I am more about the power and protecting my motor.

Thanks again, I appreciate the help guys!!

I have the Aeromotive A1000 pump, and the billet fuel pump controller. I would reccomend this set up to anyone. I installed the pump in the tank and it works perfect. Once the engine is running you don't even hear the pump. It is louder then the RP pump I had before. You do hear it turn on and prime when you turn the key, but once the engine is running I don't hear it over the exhaust. I spoke with Aeromotive and they said that the pump was fine to put in the tank. I just trimmed the plastic sump in the tank so the pump would sit in it, then clamped the pump to the sump. The ideal way would be to remove the tank, CLEEN VERY WELL to remove all gas and fumes!, and then weld mounts inside the tank. I didnot feel like doing this so I cheated a little. Anyhow if you would like me to tell you more on how I did it then PM me.
Nick

here is how i did my A1000.

yes, this pump is VERY loud outside of the tank. it doesnt realy bother me that bad. i do need to put something inbetween the pump and the frame to dampen it a bit.. this location was a total PITA to mount it. but it seemed logical at the time.

i have not installed it yet, but i think it will be good for me as i can hear the pump in the garage while the car sits in the driveway. (doors to the garage closed.) may extend the life of the pump by not having full power going to it when it is not needed.
