Dp+ greddy pullies- 170
Front mount+ Tial BOV- 650
New megan manifold- 160
1300 cc injectors- 250
ACT strip/ strip clutch- 265
Borg warner s362- 805
Fuel pump- 120
Hks Wg- 130
Apexi Power fc- 700
Greddy elbow- 90
I just got to get ignition. ok so around 3300 now. I guess its cause i havent got wideband and not going to do all those gauges.

But i did already have full exhaust ( greddy sp2) and a boost controller

so plus tune (150) a safe tune for driveability, the boost controller (100), and the exhaust (350), and that other stuff Your looking at 5000.

You got good deals on that stuff. But aside from that, your build is equivalent to what most are saying costs around $5000. So you really aren't that far off after you include all the small things you will need during the build. Many of the guys who have spent over the $10k range also rebuilt the motor. Take into account things like suspension, tires, AI, etc and you can EASILY spend over $15k.

At the same time, some people buy just the turbo kit for $4k because they'd prefer new warrantied parts. I personally don't buy used turbos anymore, too many bad experiences. But I do try and find good deals on other parts and I think that going single doesn't have to cost $10k.

A proper tune is a lot more than $150 IMO.

turbo kit- 3k
fuel pump- 120
fuel system(1600cc secondary with rails and fpr)- 600
greddy elbow-100
apexi pfc-700
boost controller-300
upgraded clutch- 500
koyo rad(3 pass)-500
greddy pully kit-100
front mount intercooler-1k
misc parts and items like exhaust system, heat sheild, vacuum hose, etc.-1k

total in parts alone if you are doing everything yourself = 7,920

add another 500 for tunning and if you are paying someone to do the work expect another 1k.

total to pay someone to do it is around = 9k in parts and labor

so, 10k to go single isn't a big surprise depending on parts and labor, and pray that your engine can make it through the tunning alive.

Lol... I don't know where everyone is getting these crazy numbers from.

My car was bone stock, and I'm on track to be finished for under 4k.

And this is not a hacked together build, it's choosing the right parts and not paying more than I have too.

Too many variables?
If that is your FD in your signature

This is what i would charge if i were to do the conversion for you.

$900 USD for Power FC(can be cheaper depending on availability)
$780 USD for FPR, Injectors and Fuel Rail kit(primary and secondary)(fittings and lines included)
$190 USD for Twin Intank Raceonly 040 Pumps
$490 USD for Intercooler Kit(front mount with piping and clamps and silicone hoses)
$550 USD for a Raceonly FD aluminium Radiator(52mm thick)
$2210 USD For Turbo Kit(Includes Garrett GT35/40 Roller Bearing, Raceonly Custom Exhaust Manifold, Raceonly 60mm Wastegate, Braided SS water and oil Lines, and Aluminium AN fittings all round)
$550 USD for Dump pipe and mid section of exhaust
$800 USD Labour For Complete Install

The above is the minimum amount of gear i would use for a car that is getting converted to single turbo. It adds up very quickly when you use Quality parts and a combo that is going to provide, a large powerband with good peak hp.

If you were to go with a Bush Bearing turbo You can knock off up to 850 USD.
But its all the other parts that add up.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen too much about cooling.

Still running the stock rad? That's barely sufficient for the stock power.

As you have an R1, I'm guessing you have at least the stock dual oil coolers.

where are you getting a To4e for that price? I'm looking to get a bit more kick than my stock twins, I have a half bridge engine with all the supporting mods to go single, I just never took the dive. What trim and housing is that? I'll already assume that is not ball bearing.

edit: ill assume this is the one you speak of http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=BCS
I just need to know where you got that price.

$600+ shipping for a Borg Warner T04E 60 Trim .84 T4

since you have a half bridge, think about a 60-1 T04S. Email the guy at the site I listed, see if he has that.

It is easy to get excessive though. I am learning this the hard way.

But hey, at least when I am done, it will be overkill in a good way.

Just checked the price on a 60-1 To4s. 700+ shipping, not bad at all.

I have a t04S in stock that I will cut a good deal on.

Also checkout www.aptuning.net for turbo parts. A site I created mainly offering ATP parts but I can offer good discount on.

For a bone stock car the price could easily get to around 10k.. people with the parts list that are having a hard time believing it will cost that much thats because when you go install all those parts you will see that the little additional things you need that you dont know about yet until you actually start putting those parts on add up to alot. misc fittings, vac lines, flanges, tuning, dyno time, guages, sensors, etc etc. its the nick knacks that add up.

yes it could be done cheaper but then its not as efficient, safe, reliable etc im talking about doing it right the first time which is the cheapest way.
