Wastegate V band flange ID help needed!
Hi All
I've got an issue with ex-wg fitment onto my manifold. It's an ASE single turbo manifold. The wastegate flange looks like this:
The problem is that I have an HKS wastegate to fit to the car. I have a short piece of pipe with the wastegate flange on the end, so my plan was to weld a flange to mate up to the one on the manifold onto this pipe, allowing me to run the wg with my manifold.
However, I can't find a suitable v-band clamp and flange to mate up to my manifold anywhere. I *think* it will mate to a Turbosmart 50mm pro-gate, but I'm not sure. The OD is circa 68mm, OD of the 'stepped' section is about 55, and the tube ID is circa 45mm.
Most of the flanges that ATPturbo etc sell are designed to be welded to a manifold, so are the wrong 'gender' to mate to my manifold flange, IYSWIM?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, don't want to have to buy a new wg just because of this!
