Wastegate Problem?

Ok so when I speed up my boost goes up like it should, up to 16 PSI but there seems to be no effect on the motor like it doesnt speed up off the boost or anything so I let off so that the boost can be released. Since the boost builds I figure there cant be a manifold issue or a BOV issue because boost wouldnt build. It seems liek fora moment the car starts to pick up on the boost but then it doesnt speed up any from it. The only thing I can think of is an isuue with the Wastegate. Help plz !!

Check the turbo/IC piping... if theres a leak or if a pipe/clamp came off this will be the symptom.

Also... for your wastegate make sure your getting a engine and boost controller vacuum... it might be staying open.

Are you getting boost pressure reading off the upper plenuim? If you are you dont have a leak in the ic piping if your seeing 16 lbs pressure. It almost sounds like your pressure gauge is hooked into a place that sees boost but after that point your loosing it. You should feel 16 lbs boost.

The only places I could think of where Im loosing boost then would be where the manifold connects to teh side piece where your sec inj are in ( Sry IDK the name of it) or where that piece bolts directly to the block. The Vac line runs off one of the points right there on the intake manifold just before it foes to the side one so Im pretty sure my IC piping is good all the way to the Manifold. Should I go ahead and buy new gaskets and replace em an re torque the bolts? snd good ?
