Wastegate leakdown test

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of pressure testing my HKS racing wastegate. The lower portion will pressurize and the gate will open but then the pressure will slowly bleed off through the valve guide. Is this normal?
thanks

Yes it is "normal" but it pisses me off.

To make a LONG story short...

---------

I compared a brand new HKS Racing to my 1 year old one.

The new one leaked down some, but mine leaked down considerably faster.

-----------

Mine used to hold 10 PSI (spring pressure) just fine but I found that it refused to hold that any more and would creep to around 15. I have reached the conclusion that mine leaks so much around the valve guide that it bleeds off boost and causes creeping.
