wastegate on exhasut housing?

anyone stuck a gate on the housing itsself... thought I seen some ralliers do this and curious if its a common practice or just what some loon did

there is a blurb in maximum boost showing a turbo car with the wastegate come right off the exhaust housing and iirc it stated it as one of the best setup's ever

well shiz, im about to. Just looking fo rinfo on where to put the gate. lotta GN, SyTy guys look like they do it, must be an old school way of wastegating

any links you know of?

and nice work on those welds.

I thought of going this route, but I didnt have the ***** to hack up my housing.
