Waste Gate placement

The new turbo I recently got had the T3 housing with the 5 bolt Ford style discharge , which would allow use of either an internal or external wastegate , I'm thinking of using this with the block of plate thats supposed to be for used with external wastegates , but milling a hole through it so that the hole in the turbine housing would line up with it coming straight through , then weld on some pipe fittings to the plate so that I can mount my external wastegate directly onto the allowing exhaust gas to be bled directly out of the turbine housing , hopefully allowing better boost control , what do ya think ??

Been done, did it on a S2K kit I made. Works fine. Allows good flexibility of wastegate placement.

yeah that'll work, I think there should even be those flanges that already have the wastegate hole in them..

feel free to run whatever you wish wastegatewise but i have 2600 miles on my twins and i run internal WGs to keep it simple.
i control boost w an Apexi AVCR and it works to the tenth of a psi.
remember, each turbo is only making 250-350 tops so they are easily controlled.

Yeah , but I already have the two WG's ,( Nobody seems to want them) and I read somewhere that the internal gates dump high pressure exhaust gas directly behind the turbine which affects spool to an extent (?) , so I may just keep them and make them fit.
