want the PSSSSSSEEEWWW sound

first off im new..... so be gentle . i am used to muscle cars and piston engines so try to make it easy for me. i do know things about turbos and rotarys but not a whole lot. i want a turbo II and was wondering how to get the famous loud turbo blow off sound. do they make a very loud blow off valve for the t2? or are they all universal? would it work with the stock (or alittle above ) psi? thanks.

There are some kits that are specific for the T2. I have the Greddy type s and it is loud enough for me but not as loud as some. It is a kit that is fairly easy to install. It does however function well which is the important part. Don't worry, after a while you'll grow tired of the sizzle and bullshit that is asian cars and just look for what works. Start off that way and you will save alot of money and be miles ahead of the novel.

The HKS SS is loud and good for lower (7-15) psi

THe HKS SS is what I have. For a person liking or wanting the blow off sound - this is a great solution. I actually hate it and would like to have something quieter. The only cool sound it makes is when I am on it hard and start to deaccelerate - it makes a nice fast whoo-whoo-whoo-whump-whump-whump sound.

Money would be spent smarter with an exhaust or intake system - more power. The blow off sound does nothing except makes noise. (I know the technical merits of not stalling the turbo....etc)
