v-band fitting problem

Hello,
i just received my single turbo kit and i have some fiting problem with the suplied v-band.
here is the problem:

the turbo housing is slinghtly smaller in outside diameter of the v-band lip (0.1" or 2.5mm) And the lip is 0.04" or 1.00mm thiker than the downpipe lip.

her e is the measurements:
turbo housing 92.5mm diameter and 5mm lip
downpipe 95.0mm diameter and 4mm lip.

please see the ateched pics.

what do you suggest to do?
is there a wider v-band?it seems that the v-band i have is made for the 4mm lip and in no way i can clamp the housing and downpipe i have.

a turbo shop i went suggested to machine the housing lip to 4mm instead of 5mm and machine also the outside diameter of the downpipe to bring it to the same dimension as the housing lip.

i am not familiar with that equipment and i need your help.
what do you suggest?is there a specific dimension the housing lip must have or i have the wrong downpipe lip?

thyanks!

I would contact the one who supplied you with the kit. Good luck with the install and setup.

ON V-band setup

I just ran into that same problem and ended up buying a V-band kit from vibrant...it comes with the clamp and two flanges that mate(one female, one male). I just cut the old flanges off and welded one on my turbo and the other on the downpipe and it fits together perfect now.
