Under powered rx7????

I have a t2 engine in a first gen and it seems we may be having power problems.

t2
cc stage 4
4x1000cc injectors
microtech lt10
3" exhaust turbo back
custom manifold 2" diameter runners, 18-22 inches long
46mm tial gate
2.5" intercooler piping
12x26x3 intercooler
Old turbonetics turbo rebuilt changed wheels basically a t3/t4 57 or 60 trim

boost 17-18 psi
peak timing leading 15*
afr 11-11.5:1

made 230whp at 200 ft.lbs on a mustang dyno

To me that seems underpowered and my thoughts are....

We used a t2 cable and i am thinking its possible we are having throttle losses because not all of the tri throttle plates are opening. Have not checked, but i am going to.

Any ideas????

verify no boost leaks. pressurize the system. www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html , universal tester at the bottom. It's just some PVC with an air fitting and a coupler to connect it to the turbo. You can make one yourself.

Thanks, i do have a similar tool i will have to boost leak test it once again. I have done this before on the car and i thought i had everything sealed up, but it doesn't hurt to check again.

18psi should be an easy 400rwhp... Leak test would be a good place to start then, a compression test..

You thin 18 psi on that sized turbo will output 400whp?

I will definatly do a pressure test again and even a compression test and come back with some updates. Any other ideas would be much appreciated!

Thank you
