(UIM) Need your help guys..
I just bought a UIM form a GT42 haltech FD. Undernieth when I flip it upside down, the used to be a motor/actuator/sensor thing in the middle , it has been blocked off. There WAS a female plug attached to where it used to be. (its not the sensor in the middle)
Also the (secondary butterfly???kinda like a funny looking motor thing on the back firewall of the UIM. ) has been blocked off. There USED to be a female plug for it too.
The guy told me all this was better for single turbo.
What do I do with the two plugs I dont wont anymore? Is my PFC depending on any of these sensors to operate, and can I drive the car without them to get it tuned?
My old map was tuned for stock twins.
Thanks,
-Mike.

I think all that has to do with the Accelerated Warmup System, I know the butterflies do... Just don't boost when it's cold, but you shouldn't with or without the butterflies... the butterflies just protect the motor....

That would have been the AWS, not needed even for stock turbos.

From your poor discription, it appears that you are confusing and mixing the secondary butterflies that were vacuum powered to the ISC solenoid which is electrical. The secondary butterflies can be totally taken out to help the top end a little. The ISC only should be removed if you can't get the ecu to control idle with it in. It is what controls the three idle speeds. Without it you will only have one manually set idle speed
The PFC does not care when a not needed connector is not connected.

yeah, i beleive the haltech can't use the ISC, if you have the power FC, you'll have to put it back in place. I think it's the motor with the connector that is the closest to the firewall. I beleive the connector is white.

Update, I've decided not to run the ISC because I jsut took the AC out I should only need one idle speed. I always turn off electrical things when the car is in idle anyway.
And the accell warm up stuff is not going in either.
I hope it works out, if not I'll put it back in.
