Twin GTR turbo set up sequential? Ever been done?

So lately i have been wondering if anyone has ever been able to come up with an idea for making a dual gt turbo set up sequentail? I came up with an idea want to run it by people to get there opinion. My idea is to make a dual set up similiar to the stock set up but with dual GTR turbos one gt25r and a gt28rs sequential. Heres a rough drawing of where im going with this. Its just a rough idea and my drawing sucks but I think it can be done. The idea is to make a manifold off of the motor just like the stock one but to mate two t-3 with a waistgate in the middle pointing down. Natuarlly the dump tube will be right where the exhaust is. Id like to keep the turbos roughlly in the same area as the stock one so as to possibly be able to keep the stock air pump. All exhaust attatchments will be v-band and making the oil and water lines as close to stock as possible. Please give me some info on what you think.

been done.... A-Spec acually offers twin turbo setup like that which consits of 2 serperate GT turbos

also... i dono know his name... but at SS9 there was a asain dude with a blue FD with a RE Amemiya GT widebody that had a setup like that....

problem with this setup is.... you wont really hit boost untill aobut 7k rpm... which is acually good in some cases... like road or track racing.. where that gernally where u want it to be.... here a pic..

The turbo itself doesnt make it not pass the smog. If you where able to put them in the stock location and keep the smog pump and emisions stuff there is no reason why it shouldnt pass smog. I think anyone running a single turbo has removed there air pump to make room for it.

That is Huy's car, he's from here in Dallas. It is a really nice car. He is TheCrazyAZN on here. I believe the engine is Half-bridged also.

Well I'm sure it can be driven on the streets, last time I talked to him, he didn't want to risk something being damaged on the road.

I have the exhaust manifold off right now. Im going to see how involved its going to be to make an addpater plate to mount the twins on with a waistgate in the middle. If I think it can be done im going to shoot for it and see if I can work it out. Id really like to try and make a sequential twin set up though I think it would be crazy.

I think your going to have a hell of a time getting it all to fit and work properly.

Easiest way to make sequentials the way you want and pass smog would be to use the stock sequential exhaust manifold, turbine housings and turbine outlet as well as the stock sequential controls and use the GT turbos minus their exhaust housing.

If you want to keep the larger GT compressor covers (for their better efficiency) you will likely have to space the exhaust manifold away from the engine so it doesn't hit the intake manifold.

If you bore the stock compressor covers you will lose some efficiency over GT, but still better than stock compressors at high boost levels and it will fit and look very stock.

Advantages of this GT derived stock hybrid-

Stock look
stock sequential/smog controls
quicker than stock spool *possible* from BB center/dynamic seal
higher boost potential from dynamic seal
better efficiency at higher boost from GT compressor

Disadvantages-

cost of 2 GT turbos, machining stock exhaust housings and fitting oil/water lines
restrictive stock turbo outlet manifold just like stock (could be improved for $$$)
have to fabricate oil/water lines just like a single
have to modify some turbo peripherals (spacing manifold, fitting comp outlet pipes)
manifold/turbos still as restrictive as stock (heat)
have to use TII low comp rotors, h20 inj or race gas to use GT high boost efficiency

If you have the $$$ to play with Bryan at BNR could put this together for you, but I don't see him recommending it over a standard BNR stage 3 hybrid or a BB single turbo.

If anything, those turbos are too small for a 13B.
