over 400hp with stock engine + T04S

What do you guys think about this??
does it seem to be possible or is it not possible?

Hp: 442 @5940

Ft/lbs:399 @5769

Its on a stock short block 13b-rew engine never rebuilt!
And this is what we used.

HKS T04S kit

max peak boost = 1,2 bar @ 5700rpm and then back to 1,1bar all the way to 7000rpm.....but never reving higher then that.

only 42 more hp than ft-lbs???? and max hp at 6k???

if this isn't at the wheels (375rwhp with 340rwtq...still seems like a lot of torque)...It's be more believable if the hp was at 6940...

yeah, the torque numbers and RPM's don't sound like a rotary at all. Something is fishy about those numbers although I've seen T04S 13b's make 400 at the wheels with stock ports, torque should be way lower, RPM should be higher and HP sounds awfully high as well. This is on a engine stand or at the wheels??

It is tested on a chassi dyno so the power is near 375whp 340wtq thats right...

but I wrote 1,2 bar all the way upp to 5700rpm and then lower boost upp to 7000rpm.
The ignition is still safe and a lot of fuel after 5700rpm...

All I wanted is to achive high peak hp and Tq at the same point but in the same time the graph should be rising all the way upp to the peak power output.

Iam going to put a dyno chart on the thread later on today and maybe in fewdays later a smal movie..

keep on posting on this thread cause I would like to no your opinion.

Hi Abiex:

That sounds really high to me. I haven't looked at a T04S map since I was thinking of buying one about 1.5-2 years ago, but I believe the efficiency drops off pretty fast above 57lbs/min at that boost level. The compressor map of the T04S is similar to the 35R that I had. I have witnessed several cars dyno with the 35R on stock and ported motors at different dyno shops. Most of them came in at or under 410rwhp at 15psi.

Off Topic: How is the SM4 on the 20b working out? I have another option for you if you're not happy with it

I'm not certain what you mean by "high peak" hp, but hp and tq are equal at 5,252 rpms by def.

ok??? maybe some thing was wrong with my dyno??? I have a pic of the dyno chart...and I am going to speak to the dyno guys and see if there is any special mode for rotary cars rpm counting when it messure the rpm with the microphone....

Oh about the SM4 it worked good until we got about 720+Hp and 860+Nm @ 6250rpm with the HKS T51R KAI and 1,7bar boost and the pressure in the exhaustmanifold was 1,4bar and very low ign map set up.... I USED E85 (15%gasolin 85% Ethanol) and then we got some problem with the wether and the electricity cut of because of the thunder strike near by...
(I put it in a engine dyno) after the thunder strike we tride but it did not want to run good any more... I comp tested it and it seems to have good comp on all rotors.
I am going to try it once again in late feb/2007.....to much work in the new shop right now.
What do you have ??? THE NEW MoTeC ROTARY OPTION ??

I just wanted to know how much the hp could push up before it drops again.

And I forgot to write that its very lean tuned but without any knocks at all.
the gasolin that we used is shell V-power 99 octane.

I spoke to diffrent tuners "just to be shore about this" and told them exactly everything.... It seems to be possible ....

looks like boost builds kind of slow, and that terrible spike at 5750.

I think if you control the boost and hold 1.2bar until 7500rpm you'll find about what Chris suggests...410rwhp with ~ 340rwtq <--which look like 13B #'s

(480hp on a stock motor ain't bad )

0.70 on the cold side, and (my guess is) 1.00 on the hot (maybe larger due to slow spool)

I want to say it has to do with the units measured

if they were measured in different units, maybe...

but torque = hp @ 5252. something was wrong with that.

the only other way i can think of to get that kind ot tq:hp ratio on a 2-rotor is to boost the **** out of it down low, but then taper the boost way off up top. that's why i originally asked if the boost rolled off up top.

but fucked up dyno or no, i'm sure it's a fast car

They cross.

5252rpm = 354 PS (HP) and 480 NM = 354 ft-lb
