hey guys,
ive mounted my single vband turbo and it didnt come with a downpipe.

i have bolted up my old aftermarket twin dp and it looks like i might be able to cut off the twin flange just at the o2 sensor, then weld on a 7inch extension with a 45degree bend and connect it to the vband.

has anyone ever tried this before?

 

As long as everything lines up it shouldnt be an issue.

 

ya, i did my best tonight to cut of through just before the o2 bung.
it took about an hour with a reciprocating saw.
just gonna smooth it out with a grinder, bolt it back to the cat/mp and take some measurements for the extra pipe needed.
