turbo shopping
I have a 94, and I am going to do the single turbo. Im having problems deciding which turbo to go with. Im looking at something like this, but Im not sure:used Garrett T04B oil-cooled turbocharger. The a/r on the exhaust side is 1.15 and on the compressor side is .60. The Inlet on the compressor side is 3 inch, outlet is 2 inch. The exhaust side has the standard T4 flange for the inlet and a 2.75 inch outlet. Im looking to get over 400rwh out of my car, and I was wondering if this will do it for me.

that sounds exactly like the turbo i recently bought with the same quest. the wheel has been upgraded though. pull your compressor housing off and measure the wheel. see what the size is the smaller(inducer) and the bigger (exducer) is so we'll have some sort of comparison to even further test the guesstimating abilities of the single turbo gurus
. mine is a 58mm/75mm setup but i have a .70 compressor housing.

I don't have this turbo, but Im thinking of buying it. Do you guys think it will give me the power I am looking for, and at a reasonoble rpm, in other words will it spool up decently quick?
Has anyone from that place put one on an FD? See if they have and what power its making at what boost/mods etc. There are a bunch of turbos that will make the power you are looking for.
IMHO the 1.15 hotside is a bit of a waste (too big) when you've got a .60 compressor housing. Measure the compressor wheel though, as spoolin7n suggested. Let us know how big it is!
