turbo selection

I'm in the process of obtaining a turbo for my project car, and to be honest, I don't know much about them and their specs, and the more I read about them, the more confused I get with all the information. With that said, I hope that someone here be able to provide with some guidance on this. The car will be a '74 R-3, with a a3B ported, currently running a Haltech Sprint RE, but looking to switch to either a ps 1000 or a fueltech, it will be up to my builder at that point. The engine is a S4 turbo, freshly rebuild, and will have installed a Jay tech manifold and MTBA with 8ea, 860cc fuel injectors, this will be run by either the ps 1000 or the fueltech. Now my question is, I have been looking and reading around and I have come down to two turbochargers in mind, which one of these will be the better choice? These are the specs of each one, that I have copied from their respective seller:

Turbonetics 10996 Turbocharger 62-1 Series P-Trim 0.81 A/R Universal
•Turbocharger Style: 60 Series

•Turbine Housing A/R Ratio: 0.81
•Turbine Housing Inlet Flange: T4
•Turbine Housing Outlet Flange: 3.000 in. V-band
•Turbocharger Bearing Style: Non-ball bearing

Borg Warner Airwerks S300SX3 Turbo-66mm-T4-Twin Scroll-0.91 A/R
•Compressor Wheel Inducer Diameter (mm): 66mm
•Compressor Wheel Inducer Diameter (in): 2.6
•Compressor Wheel Outer Diameter (in): 3.6
•Turbine Wheel Outer Diameter (mm): 80mm
•Turbine Wheel Outer Diameter (in): 3.14
•Turbine Wheel Exducer (mm): 73mm
•Turbine Wheel Exducer (in): 2.89
•Turbine A/R: 0.91
•Turbine Inlet Style: T4

Sorry for the long post, Thanks...

I work for a turbo distributor and would be happy to help you out on your selection.

The Borg Warner S300 is a great selection for this particular setup, but I would highly suggest their SX-E line instead:

You haven't stated a power goal but given the alternative you are looking at and tighter turbine ar I'm guessing you want more flexibility than enormous top end (and given it is an s4 block I'm guessing you don't want to run massive boost?) in which case the sxe362 would come on a fair bit earlier than the sxe369.

turbo

Thanks a lot for the offer, when the time for purchase comes, I'll let you you. I still will like to know what the best option is, of course price does makes a difference also.Slides, you are correct, I forgot to mention the power goals for it, and to be honest, if I can get around 300hp or some where around that number, I will be more than happy; as for boost, I hope not to get past 20psi, hopefully less than that, but certainly not over that number. This will be a "fun", weekend kind of car deal, not a racer or anything like that, something just to enjoy occasionally.

S251 or S256 borg warner will do 300 easy, shouldn't have to go over 15psi and very cheap over there. Going bigger will just hurt response.

Yea, this S257SX-E would be the better option then. 300hp is NOTHING for these motors and this turbo is the AirWerks equivalent to the popular EFR7670. You'll have a great time with power everywhere.

Wish that one was available with a 76mm turbine

Why? You have a rotary with incredibly powerful exhaust pulse. You don't NEED a 76mm turbine unless you're spinning a 100+mm compressor.
