Turbo A/r Info Difference

Hey guys i done a seach but nothing i wanted to know was in there.
I want to know if you run a turbo say t04 with a rear housing with a .96 a/r and then u run a bigger turbo say a t88 with a .96 a/r rear housing will they both spool at the same time or not as the a/r is the same but one turbo is twice the size?

cheers guys

They will not spool the same. Bigger compressor = slower spool using the same turbine and turbine housing size / A/R as the turbo with the smaller compressor

The a/r is only one factor that effects spool. The amount of blades, the size, and pitch of the blades/wheels will all effect spool, and air flow. Both from the exhaust side and compressor side. A larger wheel will be heavier and therefore take more effort to spin. (spool)

This of course does not factor in a comparison between ball bearing and journal bearing turbos in which case a larger BB turbo can out spool a smaller JB turbo due to less friction/drag.
