turbo my gxl

Heres the deal..i have always dealt with NA stufff so here is my first turbo attempt....ok I have a GXL and want to put a mild streeet port TII engine . I am thinking about using a upgraded Rtek and stock turbo for now..maybe slightly bigger injectors.....what do i need ? and can i use my stock harness? what about the knock sensor? should i bother with a wide band? and boost controler etc.? I mam trying to keep it low budget for a trial, then add on as I go..so for right now what would you guys recomend for initial start up and mild running?
thanks

If you have most of the parts, finish it up. Eventually or maybe soon after you get it going, you'll find the n/a trannies and rear ends don't hold up to turbo torque to well if you like to luanch or shift hard, some last a bit, some don't. I know I've gone through MANY n/a trannies just running street built up n/a engines making 200 ish. You really should READ THE STICKY in the 2nd gen section and post there AFTER YOU READ THE STICKY and do some searching on your own. Sorry me and everyone is comming off a bit abrassive, but this really should be in the 2nd gen section, and this question really shouldn't be posted as its asked every week and there should be pleanty for you to read up on. Good luck.

HEY THANKS FOR THE ADVICE....I have actually done a bit of reasearch............I have also done quite a bit of my own race engines, BUT it was always NA stuff so I have some idea what I am doing....the only thing is I am not sure about wire harness and such...what KIND of RTEK do I need to run a TII engine in my NA car...

OHH I was not going to run a na box....it is a TII gear box and I have LSD and will be doing a swap to a TII rear with axles etc. so that wasnt my isssue

I was looking for advice on the actual electrical hook up of a TII on my wire harness using a Rtek ecu......do i need a TII ECU and Harness or can my NA run this engine as well
