Turbo II 8.5:1 compression rotors

I asked a few questions in the in the rotary performace area and don't seem to be getting much responce.

Is anyone here using the lower compression turbo II rotors in the their third gen? I understand they are a half a pound heavier a peice. Wouldn't they be safer to run larger amounts of boost with t-78, essentially being more in it's efficienty range?

Anyone have any experiences with these rotors or other possibly lighter low compression rotors.

Someone suggested calling Pineapple racing about lighter low compression rotors.

ok, I've found that they are about 40gram's heavier.
No major difference there. Is half a point of compression worth the swapping rotors?

What would be the pros and cons of these rotors?

you have probably been getting little response because people are tired of answering the same questions every ywo weeks. there have been several threads on this topic where your questions have already been answered.

The rotors are not worth swapping in unless you want to run some SERIOUS boost levels. The 3rd gen rotor compression is low enough until you want to run (estimating) over 20psi?

compresion is relative. the number only refers to a static state. When you add pressure (boost) then the number goes up. It's not perfectly linear, but does follow a specific curve. Lower compression just means more boost to achieve the same power, given all else is equal. It'll make starting on hot days more of a pain. and less performance when only under vacuum. If you even care about HWY MPG. personally i would NOT do it. Modern FI allows us to get away with much higher compression ratios than a decade ago.
