turbo effeciency (low boost)

Just a question about turbo effeciency. Would running a large (60-1, T04s, etc), non-ball bearing turbo at low boost (3-5psi) do any damage to it? It still slightly enters most compressor effiency maps, but I want to verify with someone who has experience. Also would the turbo be consistant, boost wise, if the wastegate was large enough (custom spring)? Thanks in advance.

I dont know about consistancy, but there should not be any be any damage as aresult of running low boost. Effeciency is just a measure of temperature rise after the compression takes place.

If you are not in surge, then you should not be damaging it. Left of the last shown line of you compressor map would be in surge.
