Turbine housing problem please somebody
alright i purchased a A/R turbo from a friend's friend and i am very lost... okay i have a single turbo conversion and my old turbo had an oil leak on the shaft.. well anyway i decided to buy a another turbo a bigger one okay well i tried to place it on the exhaust manifold and the turbine housing would fit but the inlet housing hits the firewall by 3 inches... i need a different turbine housing, one with an angle to it... the one i have is straight up from the exhaust manifold and right into the downpipe. i need a house with a bend to the right so i can fit the whole unit under the hood.... i dont know where to begin looking for a housing my housing is a 4 bolt .69 housing anyone any ideas of where to find what im looking for...

HUH?
First of all, what kind of turbo is it and what are all the specs? Is it a T04 based turbo?
Is it the exhaust side or the intake side that hits?
Can you get a picture for us? That would help a lot.... If the compressor cover (inlet side) is hitting, can you rotate it by loosening the bolts on the back side of it a bit and then rotating it?

Take a picture of your old and new turbine housings, and post them.
Do you know what "tangential" and "on-center" mean? Your manifold may have been designed with a tangential housing in mind, and your new turbo might have an on-center housing.
"A/R" is not a turbo manufacturer.

T-70
t-70 is what i was told.... here is a pic of what setup i need... the problem is the exhaust housing of the turbo i need one that sits on the exhaust manifold the same way but is set to the right so everything will fit.. Where it sits now the front of the turbo is hitting around the shock tower... the one i have the exhaust housing of the turbo sits exactly on top i just need an housing that bends
guys said it was a t-70 on the front says a/r .85 its ball bearing and the back housing says a/r .69 4 bolts

On center is better, IMO. The only problem is fitting it, often people get custom exhaust manifolds just to make them fit. Let me ask does the turbine housing sit directly behind the compressor housing or is it sort of to the side?

Clearance?
Is is not a better design in terms of (exhaust gas flow) efficiency.
