Tuning question?

I have a single turbo gt35r FD.. A few months ago the engine chipped a seal. I have put a brand new Mazda reman into the car. Will it need retuned? Also what is the proper break in method? Thanks Mike

Mike,
You will need to retune for the new engine. I recommend 500 miles of no boost and then 500 of low boost with varying RPM.

Why would it need retuned? Didnt you tune it properly the first time? Im gonna try to put as many miles as possible running no boost. Get back at me when you get a min. Let me know if I need to go to a tuner.

Once you break in the motor get it on a dyno and check the Air/fuel.

After you r&r an engine there could be a host of issues that would only show up under boost, get it retuned.
