Question tuning problem??

hey guys, i just got my fd tuned. got a haltech e6k, single, etc.. seems to run ok , but everytime i downshift or i let off the throttle, i hear a constant popping noise, like its back firing. is this normal? any ways to fix this noise problem??
any info would b appreciated.

sounds like fuel hasnt been cut off during decel on the ecu. are you premixxing or still running the mop?

kinda new to this, but what does that mean? mixing or using the mop?

Its in the tune i have the same setup and after driveability tune no back fireing on deceleration! A lot of tunners overlook drivability to go for wide open throttle tune!
And permixing means putting two cycle oil in the gas and deleating the oil metering pump. I premix as i dont like dirty engine oil thats not meant to burn being put in my engine!

hey, thanx for the info guys. so if i get a driveability tune, am i going to lose a lot of performance or horsepower? what kind of tune is recommended ? i just want a fast street car with decent driveability and gas milage. are bigger or extra injectors recommended? can i just shut off the fuel upon deacceleration by tuning?

You called those characters tuners!
There's nothing wrong with that type of tuning. As long as you don't lift the throttle you're set for life!

Never thought of it that way but your right: runs like crap idles terrible bucks and kicks shoots flames out the back but when i put the pedal to the floor watch out!
