Troubleshooting Help(PFC/Fuel/Ignition)
Troubleshooting Help(PFC/Fuel/Ignition)
OK so here is the deal. i had my car what i thought was running fine. i went down to Rotorsports Racing in Kannapolis with a buddy. I got froggie and decided to throw her on the dyno for a baseline run before getting her tuned.
everything was going good until about 6500RPM, at which point it bogged and unloaded. well it looks like i had my TPS installed wrong and it was reading 100% all the time, my plugs fouled, and that was the end of my dyno fun.
i brought her home and now i have the TPS set to specs, and the idle set. i unplugged the battery reset the PFC, and went through the 10minute X 3 cycles. no problems all the way through, but when i turned the A/C off at the end the idle started wandering again. so i let it settle out again thinking everything would be cool. it was ok until i got down the road a little, then it started hunting again. that is the smallest of my worries.
After my dyno run, the guys from rotorsports played with my PFC a little. trying to smooth out my idle. he played with stuff i didnt understand, and couldnt follow.
well here is the problem. now at WOT, regardless of boost, it feels like it is breaking up past 6000RPM. I never had the problem before it would go smoothly up to redline.
I need help, what should i do? I am gonna hook up my wideband to check the A/F ratios, but I am concerned as to how to get it back to normal.
I would take it back to Rotorsports, but they are a good 3 hour haul from me.
thanks in advance.

they start off at around 11ish very safe. then as boost builds they quickly start leaning 12.0-13.0. I let off as soon as i saw 12.X, but it looked like it was continuing to lean, and combined with the problems i'd felt before hooking up the wideband. i just assumed it was leaning.
i am gonna try dumping fuel in there to see. i am also going to replace my plugs. i did clean them, but what the hell just for peace of mind i am gonna replace.

Could still be misfiring leaving unused O2 in the exhaust making it look lean.
After MSR did the TPS tune or whatever, did they run the DYNO and did it run OK soon as you left them.
Your details are lacking.
