I know $27+ for the plugs is steep but to put this in perspective I have ran 2 seasons now with the plugs and well I have only bought 2 sets of plugs... I actually saved my old set and gave them a buddy who was running a cheaper brand of plug and we swapped out my full season of used plugs and his breakup issue was fixed lol.

just kidding on the titanium. they are the .004 oversized Goopy option which is such a smart option for slightly oversized apex seal grooves. a bit of filing and you go from sloppy to just right. i don't know why other apex seal companies don't offer such an option. they sure beat 3 mm.

"I am still planning on trying the oversized seals also, but I am a bit nervous on how well my filing skills are. Do you have any tips on the filing process?"
you do need the specialized files. i recommend the Goopy supplied fine file and a coarse file of the same size. just Google the file brand and you will find the other file.
as to filing tips...
be sure to clean your file often and it will go faster
fixture something to hold your rotor so you can apply proper force
do not forget to file the corner seal slot
talk to Goopy as i believe they are O K w taking a bit off the apex seal which is easier
you want .0015 to ,002 on the rotor and corner seal
test it by adding a spring and checking for smooth travel
it isn't a big deal to do and you end up w a really nice fit.
