Tire Size for Single turbos

Yeah i know this section is for single turbo discussion, but this questioin is directed at the guys and girls (are there many?) with single turbo setups. What size tires and wheels are you running? As far as brand and width etc...are they sticky enough or is nothing going to be stick enough. Thanks.

my oppinion is if u want to catch traction u want et streets or slicks, u can fit 10" wide in the back with 17s i believe and i have 18x9 and i will be running dunlops. but i also have hoiser slicks. with my ventus tires i dont catch up until almost 3rd gear but i try to take it easier off the line. have fun

How sticky are the 555Rs?Im thinking of getting those pretty soon because my Kumhos are wearin out. Also don't the tread on 555Rs wear out faster if daily driven?

if you want some really sticky street tires Nitto is coming out with the ,correct me if i get the name wrong, NT-555R Extreme R. They are only availible in one size now, but they are coming out with more. Expected daily driving is around 15-20k miles.

the extreme have this strange diamond pattern on them, and trust me you will not get 15-20k on them (well actually you might if you don't have any chamber). don't expect anything more that 10k max, they are extremely soft. The 555r are good, but again it depends on how aggressive you are. Personally they are one of the best that I have used or seen, but I don't really believe that there is a street tire out there that can really handle a 7 with more than 350 hp.
