running 10's with a GT35/40
I was wondering if any one has ran 10's with a gt35/40
setup? I like the fact that it's a very streetable turbo
that spools fast. but also can make big power. so if any
has done it please let me know the details... like your
exact setup, the hp ###'s, how much boost, etc. THANKS

I don't think anyone has yet. There have been some impressive #'s put down though on the dyno. It might be possible with the power that some are putting down to run in the 10's, of course with a good driver, slicks, conditions, ect.

AJC, who am I thinking of? I thought I read several posts on AusRotary.com, and a777 was talking about a methanol injection set up he was running. I am almost sure when he was running the T66 he was also using methanol injection. What does A777's car weigh? Can someone translate his et into HP?
Best regards, and a great job by A777, Carl

Debating whether to get the KKK Stage II (Holeset) or a GT3540. For street use the GT3540 spools quicker but how much quicker? (longer power band) and on pump gas at 17 psi the hp is roughly the same. I have also heard the Gt3540 runs out of steam but Nocab made 470 rwhp at 17 psi..?

yeah i was thinkin that stuff doesnt aquamist make a fully progarmmable water/methanol injection system, that alone makes alot of diff, but id say this, slicks and a good driver and one who really wants to at the risk of blowin his motor can do it, after all who is it that is runnin mid 11s wit the stockers on et streets...... i think a gt35/40 can get u into the 10s for sure

Thanks Dale, I knew, I had not completely lost my mind. Has A777 been on the dyno? What does his car weigh? Is A777 over 450rwhp? A couple of stateside claims, but no SAE dynos, over 425.... Dale, did you run 10s on the TO4 you were selling? Anyway good job by you, A777, AJC13b, you guys are the ****.... Carl

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Yeah the general feeling is that the GT35/40 is limited to around 600bhp (what ever this works out to on your dyno of choice) on a dynojet expect about 520 to 535rwhp.
My first gen weighs 1070kg (2360lb) or there abouts so it depends on exact specifics of his combination and how hard you are pushing the turbo let alone how you drive the car ! But 10's should be easy enough based on A777's consistent results even in a 3rd gen.
God knows how many other variables there are such as atmosphric conditions that can influence "track" power by up to +-7% but as mentioned in another post this is why SAE, DIN or other corrected power graphs are essential if you want to compare an apple to an apple
But is still requires you to run in "favourable locations & weather conditions" if you want to exploit the elements to your advantage, oh and you gotta remeber to drive it well too

im guessing the car weighs about 1000-1100kg (2300-2400lb) im trying to get my car in under 1000kg!!
Yes i ran the 10's on that turbo, im actually thinking of keeping it and getting a bigger front wheel in the front, basically turnning it into a T66, the turbo as it is now makes pretty close peak power figures to a GT35/40,
im guessing you should be able to make over 475rwhp with the right gear, the reason im going to a bigger wheel is that the 60mm wheel falls on its face at 20psi, wont make any more power at all, with the 66mm wheel it should be good for 28psi and over 550rwhp on a DD dyno.

Your name on the other hand is ******* retarded. You have no room to comment on peoples usernames considering the one you chose.
