tial and what manifold?

I got my t04s and a tial 38mm wastegate for my fd and am not sure which manifold to go with. Originally i was going to have a custom manifold made but am trying to see if anyone has used the xs engineering manifold with a tial wastegate. Seems like the flange on the manifold is square and the wastegate is the oval shape but im not sure if there is some way of using it with a different flange or something. Problem is the xs manifold is cast so you cant really cut it off and weld something else on. Has anyone used a tial wastegate on their single conversion and what manifold was used

square flange means it's a 40mm gate. TiAL also has a 46mm gate, but the square flange has "ears" on it. Contact me if you need a 40mm gate, I have a few left over from a long time ago

I know a guy that makes a 12" long equal length runners with 2" 321SS and 1/2" flanges. It uses dual wg's with equal length wg runners so that the entire setup is equal length. Its also polished. Its real damn nice. I can probably get you a pretty good price on it if your interested but you'd need to buy another wg since its dual wg's. You can shoot me a pm if your interested in it. I can probably get some pics. Its currently flanged for a GT42 but he can put any flange you want on it.

I would think that 38mm wastegate is a bit too small. I would go with at least a 44mm for your safety. If all you want to do is mount that 38mm wastegate to your manifold, just make an adapter plate. Should be very simple!

Buy an HKS and a Tial wg flange. Weld them together and you got yourself an adapter

I still wouldn't put that small of a gate on a rotary though

I know this probably won't help, but ATP Turbo sells an adapter flange for Tial 46mm to HKS flange. So it would work with the HKS or XS manifolds.
