I would like to know if it will work on the 500r kit. I understand its a hybrid turbo, but since I'm in the market I would really like to know if there is any in the works yet?

I would love to get it to work on the 500R the issue I have is that the only workable housing they sell it in a .82 if I try and use the larger or smaller framed housings and sleeve them they might not work so well. I may still offer a 35R kit with the .82 I'm just not sure the market is there. A lot of people are now wanting higher hp numbers more and more.

To truly have a idea we would need to run it with a T4 divided then swap in the TiAL setup and see. I think if setup well a fair comparison would be that you wouldn't notice much difference. It would be interesting to find out though for sure

My only experience with a Tial is on a 2.0 piston engine. T3/35R vs a Tial/35R at 40psi. There was a 200 rpm loss in spool and 10whp gain in peak, so IMO it is a wash for that application.

The owner took the Tial off that day and is trying something else now.

Hey Sean, I'm not trying to pick a fight but don't you think the wastegate placement on that manifold is pretty crappy?

Actually, his wastegate runner/tap is about as optimal as it gets. You want it as close to the turbine housing inlet as possible, and well, he got it as close as possible.

Not too sure what you mean? Both runners feed pretty much up into it just fine. It is also optimal for pressure should flow require assistance getting out. As far as actual WG placement, I'm never a fan of sticking a WG next to the DP/trans if it can be avoided, but since it couldn't and since most are placed there, I think it will be just fine. It kept WG runner length short and straight, it would be easy to re-route should the customer want to, and WG is easy to get to for both access and vacuum connections instead of under the car. What issue do you think you see?

My engine isn´t done yet and not the rest of the car either so in a month or so I might post some dyno numbers. As for the kit itself it looks simply amazing!

i've been pondering some pretty insane ideas of putting 1 gt30r(mabey gt35r) per rotor.. since the inlets are circular it would have a very smooth flow from the exhaust to turbine.
anybody think that its a good idea?

And how are you gonna have them flow evenly and yet put them in the same spot?

not to mention the downpipe/intake isssue?

Why don't you add it to your project car and tell me how it works out for you....I'll send .50 cents to your paypal lol

howard coleman has a twin t04s setup
if you're thinking of equal length, they can still be equal length but located in different spots, takes a little creativity

it would be equal length
he has a very similar idea to mine, the only main difference would be the turbine housings, where the turbos go/come from, and how turbos there are.
But i'm not giving up my plans on this site until i've built it, due to the people on this site shooting down any ideas i have, it'll stay unknown till its built.

We have that housing on a buddies race car. It is sooo worth the money. The longest part of taking the turbo of is getting oil lines off!

They are rather nice housings. I have a few sitting here (30,42,45s)now to start mocking up kits.(already have orders for!!) Mainly 42R and 20B kits will be upgraded to this. My guess they will flow rather well, only throwing them on a car before and after would we know for sure how much.
Any updates/results? I'm especially interested in the 20B results.

Sean are those dimensions you listed earlier, for the inlet, the same for every turbo (30,35,42)?
