From what I hear thrust has maximum cooling efficiency. Anyone wanna comfirm this? Advan vs. Disadvan? Discuss.

Why would you care about cooling efficiency of the bearing?

WTF does a thermostat have anything to do with what temps the bearings get???

i think you mean journal bearing vs ball bearing.
the ball bearing type must genarate less heat or more effiecient since they use less oil flow in the bearing section, ie oil cooling flow is less.

hmmm i doubt one would generate more heat then the other, but bush bearing turbos have a lot more oil flow, which im guessing would give u a cooler core temp, perhaps water cooling would be more of a must for ball bearing turbo's ???

Journal bearing turbos can be rebuilt for reuse while ball bearings cannot ..

We've rebuilt plenty of GT BB units as I'm sure some board members will attest to. You just need to find someone who can get the parts that are not listed through garretts regular catalog.
