NV Thinking of doing some 'engine modding'

I'm going to be doing a rebuild(street port) when I hit my 100,000 miles on my motor... I'm at like 90-93,000 right now...

Here's what I have:

13B turbo(Turbo II motor) in my previous N/A
Walbro Fuel Pump 255lp/h

I was thinking of doing a street port, and getting some S4 rotors for higher compression...
I heard of some people talking about Rx-8 ecentric shaft and some other 'rotor internals' for lighter weighted parts in there...

Does anyone know what I couuld do with this?

I'm not in the 'know-how' on much technical things, and rotoraries are all I "know" some things about... but I'm trying to give it a shot, so far I've done all the work on my car(with some help) but I've replaced just about everything on it, as well as the motor swap.... I know how to fix my car, but not necessarily how everything works exactly.... IE: the super-specifics and technical things on these cars... I just know how to fix mine.. lol
I'm going to be having someone do my street port. and if they don't charge much more to put S4 rotors and different internals, then I might as well jump to that... -I was thinking of just waiting for the 16x but I don't think I'll have that kind of money.. :O

Does anyone know if this will work, and if I'll need biger injectors or anything? I'm getting a welded differential with the snubber mod for it. I've already got my suspension and brake rotors/calipers brand new...

I'd like to start pricing out how much I'll be spending on this 'power upgrade' I guess you could call it.... Or seeing what I CAN put in my car you know?.....

Thanks!

Some rotary mechanics will tear it down, port it, and reassemble it for between 500 and a grand. As far as I know S4 rotors are lower compression than S5?? 8.5 compared to 9.0 but I could be wrong and someone will correct me. If you look at dynos and charts you can see similar setups to your goals by the dozen.

I thought S4's were 9.4?

Time to read up now that I think of it... XD

I was thinking of all Rx-8 Internals, but I haven't heard of anyone really doing that, and I'm pretty sure it'll be harder to find a Rx-8 at the junkyards to tear an engine down for the rotors.. :P (S4s are all over the junkyards)

I'm not necessarily wanting to up my turbo, just maybe get a new one or a cheaper one that'll be around 12lbs.... a stock one around 10lbs on a street port alone is fast IMO.... even 8lbs.... but if I got a bigger, I'd only want maybe 12... too much money to raise the boost up any higher...

I was quoted 2,350 for a street port/rebuild, that's with tearing it down and reassembling it.... I was thinking of tearing it down myself and save a bit of money... and also to hand my guy some S4 rotors.... Hmmmmmmm

S4 N/A rotors I'm talking about** they have higher compression, right? S4 N/A 9.4 compression?

If I went to an S5 N/A rotors, that would be 9.7 compression, is that too high for a street port? I'll be getting like 580cc primaries and maybe 620cc secondaries if it'll run too lean, any advice??

Has anyone heard of that Rx-8 eccentric* shaft being put into an S5 TII motor? I'm guessing there would be 'something' to change or modify before it fits right in...

S4 NA = 9.4, S5 NA = 9.7, S4 TII = 8.5, S5 TII & FD = 9.0, Rx8 = 10.0.

^ Thought so. There are a number of threads covering high compression turbo engines (turbo engines using NA rotors) and you can find people who argue that it is more prone to detenation. On the other hand people like Aaron Cake have setups that entail high compression rotors and high boost. I think it all comes down to how well the engine is tuned. The turbo rotors just leave more room, literally and figuratively, for variance.
