Thinking About The Gt3574 On My Fd???
Thinking about getting the gt3574 non bb turbo kit from aspec. Does anyone have this setup already? Just want to know what to expect and how much power it can put out?
It going on my 93fd street ported motor.

I have this turbo on my car now but I'm still breaking in the motor. I'm excited to see what it will do. I expect (hope) to put down about 450hp to the wheels on my 1/4 bridge with a fat powerband. BTW the a/r of my housing is .96....not offered by a-spec.
Go to A-spec's vendor section, there is a thread for this specific turbo and Sean will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Give that a try or feel free to give us a call; I would be more than happy to go over our different set-ups with you and see what we can do to meet your needs and stay within your budget.

I think you'll be pretty happy with the overall power band it spools nice and pulls up till redline. We are currently working on two new improvements on the turbo itself to offer different levels of tune. One will give better flow up top, one will be ball bearing.

Yes it would If you don't mind running higher boost you may bet there. I'm not one for promising power numbers as there are a whole lot of things that can effect that number. I would say if 500whp is your main goal you may want to look at one of our other turbo's. I'm sure the GT3574 can do it and even more sure the newer 3574's will be able to. They just weren't meant for that purpose. They were meant to give people a non BB alternative to the 35R. They utilize a 35R compressor wheel which makes them start to be pretty inefficient at or above 20psi. Which you will need to be in the 20psi+ range on that size turbo for 500whp more often than not.
