Are there and 4" filters that use a black filter element

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get filters that use a black filter element, like a K&N style or more so something like the greddy honeycomb style of filters.

Thanks

Luke,
not sure if your partial to the HKS "honeycomb" but they do make a black/dark purple filter insert that looks somewhat "black"

good luck....

the only reason that the kn is red or the Kools are blue is because of dye. Just add some black dye to a K&N.

A black filter sounds cool. but it would be hard to tell when its dirty. I kind of want a black filter now.

I'm just doing it cause to add something redo r blue to my engine bay would throw off alot of time and money i've put into it making it look the way it does.

yeh the gold and black looks good.

My whole engine bay is either silver/alluminum, or flat black.

I think a colored filter would throw it off too. But I was considering a Blitz metal filter.

The blitz filter will not look as good, it's basically chrome and stainless it is also one of the worst as far as filtering when tested. Not that the foam filter will be any better but it will look perfect with what you have appearence wise.

What would happen if you bleached a typical K&N Filter?
