Temp Turbo any good?
Yo Guys,
I'm about to buy a second hand Garrett T4 turbo, it's just temporary before buying the "real" turbo for my setup.
So i need some advice on what kind of turbo this is and how the car is going to handle with this turbo if i decide to buy. It's going to be mounted on a Stock 13b REW. (Building new engine with streetport).
Specs: (Told by owner)
Garrett T4
Hotside 1.15 a/r
Cold side 0.50 a/r
Not looking for mayor power right now, maybe just 300whp. It's just for fine tuning the total setup later on.
Is it Upgradable with a larger housing?
Only picture i have right now.
Thnx

I see what you mean by seeing the picture, the 2 upper fins look little different, is that what you mean??
I can get it for just 50 bucks so i'm willing to try. Just don't know what to expect performance wize. I'll have it cleaned it up and inspected, but only if i can use this Turbo for my setup for a while.
Thnx for the heads up anyway.

That turbo is garbage, and will most likely lead to the destruction of your nice new engine.
These things spin at 150,000+ rpm, take a *real* close look at that compressor wheel.
That turbo belongs in the junkyard.
