Question TD06 Info

I'm talking about the Greddy TD06S kit. Does anyone use it? No one ever really talks about it. It's a smaller turbo, isn't it? How does it compare to a T04 or the Apex kit?

It's kinda small. It seems to be a very good street setup though, for people NOT looking to make 400 rwhp.

My only experience comes from that kit having been installed on my TII by RP and, they had just finished installing that kit on another TII just before mine was finished.

They had a hard time getting 350 rwhp out of it on the other guys car. They also had to run very high boost to get the 350 rwhp.

That guy upgraded to a TO4E with the greddy kit. He got over 380 rwhp then at a reasonable boost level and has since done an 11.8 with slicks.

I ended up going with a TO4SO4 along with my GReddy kit. I did a 12.23 on drag radials.

If you're looking for a nice car to drive around with very little lag, the TDO6 kit should do fine for you. If later, you want more power and don't mind more lag, you could go to the TO4E or the T-66 like I have now.

Here's the GReddy TDO6 kit on my TII engine before upgrading the turbo setup:

Wow, that is small. Thanks for the info. I'll probably go with a T04 when the time comes (hopefully within a year).

can you guys even aquire HKS T04R's? i think they are the best for drag setup. and highway cruising you still get great gas mileage since your not even close to spooling the turbine
